Q: I have set up a rule but my items are not renewing. Why?

Check your time zone setting in your 'Profile' page. By default, your time zone is set to PDT (California time) and the rules are executed based on this time.

 
 

Q: My renewal rule stopped working. Why?

This can happen in few situations:

  • The time window you have set has passed.
  • You have de-activated the renewal rule.
  • You put your shop on vacation mode.
  • Your trial period or monthly subscription has expired.
  • Your shop bill with Etsy is overdue and as such Etsy does not honor our renewal requests.

Q: Why should I add stickers or banners to my images?

Adding a sticker or banner to your images can help diffrentiate your items from the items of the competition. The Etsy marketplace has a huge collection of items for sale, and standing out from the competition is hard. When you add stickers (or banners) to your images, your items will pop-up and attract more attention. You can use any of our pre-defined stickers/banners or upload your own. SellerMarketingTool will automatically add the sticker/banner to your images and will remove them at the date/time you have set. You can read more about this easy-to-use tool here.

 
 

Q: When should I place my shop on sale?

You can schedule your entire shop (or specific shop sections) to start a sale event in any date. Running a sale event during the weekends or on special days of the year, is highly suggested (e.g., Mother's Day, Christmas, Black Friday, Thanksgiving, etc).

 
 

Q: I have put my Etsy shop on vacation mode. What will happen to my renewal rules?

No item renew will be performed while the shop is in vacation mode. However, it is a good practice to disable your rules and enable them when you return from vacation.

 
 

Q: I have created a rule to cycle through few items. However, I see that some of the items were removed from the rule. Why is this happening?

When an item is no longer available for sale (e.g., item removed by you, or sold out), we remove it from the rule to avoid further attempts to renew it. This cleanup process is done during the night.

 
 

Q: How does your affiliate program work?

Our affiliate program is accessible for you here, where we provide you with the details.

Here is how it works

  • You provide the link to another Etsy seller.
  • The referred seller signs up for a trial period.
  • When the seller upgrades, up to $20 are credited to your affiliate account.
  • After 2 sellers join like this, you will see a button 'Request Balance Withdrawal' in the 'My Commission' tab.
  • When we receive this request, we will transfer the funds to your PayPal account.

Q: I have hundreds or thousands of items. Can I randomly renew some of them?

Yes. When you create a new rule, choose 'Random Items' and next to it, the number of items you wish to renew.

Alternatively, you can choose 'Random Items (by Keyword)', to randomly choose only items whom title contains any of the keywords you type. For example, if you type 'rose, sticker', only items that have either 'rose' or 'sticker' in their title will be randomly picked for renewal.

 
 

Q: Why has my account been put in an inactive status?

There could be 2 reasons for that:

  • Your shop bill on Etsy was overdue and we could not perform renewals on your behalf.
  • You have put your shop on vacation mode so we de-activated it on our side as well.
 
 

Q: How do I cancel my account?

Follow these steps to cancel your account:

  1. Log in to your SellerMarketingTool.com account
  2. Click 'My Account' at the top-left corner
  3. Choose 'My Profile'
  4. Click the 'Close Account...' button on the right side of the page
