Vela for Etsy (getVela) Review: How It Compares to SellerMarketingTool
Vela (its site is getvela.com, which is why many sellers call it getVela) is a bulk listing editor. It changes many listings at once across Etsy, Shopify, Faire and eBay, and it also offers AI listing scoring, AI copy and photo tools. SellerMarketingTool works on the other half of the job: it writes the tags, title and description a listing should have, checks the result against Etsy’s limits, and adds marketing such as listing videos and Pinterest and Facebook posting.

Where the two actually differ
The overlap is real. Both tools write listing copy with AI, and both look at listing quality. The difference is the step each one leads with. Vela leads with applying a change to hundreds of listings, on Etsy and on other channels. SellerMarketingTool leads with deciding what the change should say, and then with getting the listing seen once it is live.
If you already know what your listings should say and the hours go into applying it, Vela is the right category, and nothing here replaces it. If you are not sure why your listings are not being found, start with the writing and the checks, which is the part this tool is built for.

If you arrived here comparing tools rather than reading a review, the short version is this. getVela and SellerMarketingTool overlap more than either marketing page will admit: both generate tags, titles and descriptions, and both look at listings and whole shops. Anyone telling you one of them does something the other simply cannot is selling you something. The differences that show up in daily use are narrower - how much of the work applies in bulk across a whole shop rather than one listing at a time, and how much runs before you pay anything.

That remaining effort, multiplied by your catalogue size, is the real difference.
